In this session, Jennifer Forde shares her path to the agriculture sector, the challenges of running urban farmers’ markets in food deserts, and the importance of culturally appropriate food.
Speaker bio: Jennifer Forde is principal owner of Vision Quest Event Management, and manages farmers’ markets in several Toronto neighbourhoods. She works to combat racial inequality in access to affordable, healthy, culturally appropriate food and food deserts, and actively engages with urban agriculture. She has been recognized for her solid organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
